The McKelmann Photoblog

October started easy — Nick firing up the grill for a neighborhood barbecue, Deanna getting cuddles from Bruce and TaterTot, a fresh haircut, and a new cigar lighter joining the collection. Hockey season came back in a big way for Deanna, with wings and games, a Steelhead night after the gym and a facial, and Godsmack with Dr. Halley to round out that week. Then the middle of the month shifted into gear: Nick up before dawn for Amazon Flex blocks, coffee runs, pouring rain, one delivery route that dragged him all the way to Saint Anthony, and a trip back to the laundromat he sold because he can't say no.

Running underneath all of it: Nick fighting a stubborn crud with a second round of antibiotics, because the cruise is coming. He hit Level 2 on Flex, got paid for a delivery day he didn't have to work, caught up on mountains of laundry, scored DI deals, and squeezed in date night. First frost arrived, new shoes and haircuts are done, and vacation mode is officially activated. AI summary
